Mixed Feelings and Avies/Icons

Well, today is a day of mixed feelings for me.

First, I found out that MELINDA DOOLITTLE has been eliminated from American Idol and she was my favourite! I don't know .. but is America deaf?? I mean, listen to her! She's awesome! She lights up the stage everytime she performs. Guess it wasn't her night. *sigh* I was expecting it to be a Melinda vs Jordin final. Congrats to Blake for making it to the final 2, but I think Jordin's gonna win. Vocally she's much stronger. Good luck to the both of them.

My HIGH for the day is reading all about CSI:NY's season finally SNOW DAY. Thanks to sugah66 for posting the screen caps on the M&Ms thread. I could just kiss you girl! I'm on such a high about the whole DL thing finally happening and I haven't even watched the episode! I can only watch it during the weekend, when I get back to my parents' place tomorrow night. Thank God for broadband there!

I was in such a foul mood yesterday that I've decided to cheer myself up by making more avies. I've also made some icons from the Snow Day caps Sugah posted. (Thanks again Sugah!)Here are some of my latest avies and icons. Tell me what you think :D

First of all, I know I havent been blogging in my LJ for quite a while now. I have however, been blogging in tv.com coz most of my friends are there. So, I have been doing more avatars and now I've quite gotten the hang of Photoshop. I love to work with brushes and colours and here are my results.

It's so freaky that I really want to live in Canada, but I'm glad that I AM living in New York.

So, I'm having an affair with my best friend (Hawkes)and the man who loves me will end up marrying me (Mac). Although I'm in love with Warwick, my current partner's Ryan (which I might add is the perfect choice). Sara is my worst enemy (I don't see why. maybe she's secretly in love with Mac that's why). Where's Danny or Flack??? :(

I wouldn't mind the Ryan bit to come true though coz he's hot! LOL

Not a Photoshop Idiot After All

Yay! I am so glad I am not a Photoshop idiot after all. I've experimented on doing some avatars and icons and here are my results. I know they don't look like I've done much, but I am actually proud of my accomplishment.

Idiot's Guide to Photoshop Tutorials

Ok, so I've been introduced to the wonders of Photoshop CS by my brother and all I can say is that I LOVE it! Unfortunately for me though, my skills are limited to just making a picture brighter, adding the glow effect and adding simple text.

My Danny icon is made by the ever talented always_mandy from tv.com and I really love how it looks. Which brings me to ask, does anyone know how to make this using Photoshop???

So, any one know of the 'Idiot's Guide To Photoshop Tutorials', please point to me in that direction, I'm desperate!

Since I'm just a beginner at Photoshop, I do need step-by-step tutorials. Half the tutorials I've read does not make sense to me as a lot of jargons are used.

I guess I need to do a LOT of work before I can master Photoshop CS. Back to the drawing board for me.

My First Blog

Ok, I'm excited right now. I've heard so much about this Live Journal that I've finally decided to open my own account. I have been blogging for the past 6 months and I find it very refreshing to be able to put my feelings down in words.

Like for example, I was really pissed off when some prick cut in front of me without putting on his (Yup, MALE driver) indicator lights. How rude! Of coz there are other mode of transportation that are less stressful, but I actually enjoy driving to work (despite the unfortunate encounters with rude people almost EVERY morning) as I can listen to my favourite radio station, hitz.fm. The Morning Crew DJs really crack me up! Thanks guys!

I'm addicted to CSI:NY now all thanks to the developing DL moments (my friends from tv.com knows this). In case you're wondering what is a DL moment, look at my icon and you'll figure it out.

So my next mission is to learn how to beautify my LJ coz I'm not really an artsy-fartsy kind of person. I need help!
